LinkAja becomes the number 1 preferred payment service provider for SMEs in East Kalimantan

SAMARINDA, Inibalikpapan.com — At the start of the national movement Proudly Made in Indonesia (Gernas BBI) East Kalimantan with the theme Go Borneo on October 12th in the Samarinda Convention Hall, East Kalimantan, LinkAja took part and became a payment service provider the largest number of MSME partners through the QRIS Award organized by Bank Indonesia.

LinkAja Widjayanto’s Director of Operations thanked the provincial government and all city / government governments in East Kalimantan for their support, as well as Bumdes and MSME actors who have used LinkAja as their preferred payment service provider.

“We also really appreciate Bank Indonesia for continuing to deliver various types of training that can advance the use of QRIS to improve business and transactions for Bumdes and MSMEs. This award will continue to encourage us to deliver the best user experience for all levels of society, “he said (19/10/2021).

Gernas BBI, launched by the government of the Republic of Indonesia on May 14, 2020, has had a major impact on the MSME industry’s transition to a digital platform. Through the synergy of different parties, from ministries to village officials, Gernas BBI has increased the total number of MSMEs and Bumdes that have joined the digital platform by 200%.

According to him, the adaptation of information technology, including the availability of payment options from payment service providers, has contributed much to the development of the village and the economic revitalization of the residents. Additionally, by digitizing QRIS, it can help MSMEs to stay awake during this pandemic.

“The LinkAja presence is intended to offer various opportunities to make it easier for MSME actors to carry out their business activities. From access to consumer payments for transactions to corporate finance management services, ”he said.

At the launch of Gernas BBI, the coordinating minister for maritime affairs and investments, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, bought local MSME products with LinkAja, accompanied by the minister for villages, deprived regions development and transmigration, Abdul Halim Iskandar. LinkAja payments make it easy for users to transact online and offline merchants at local MSMEs.

The use of QRIS as a payment method that applies to all digital transactions in Indonesia was first introduced in East Kalimantan in 2019. In the past two years, QRIS usage has increased tenfold in East Kalimantan

This growth cannot be separated from the active role of Bank Indonesia together with the provincial, municipal and regeneration governments. This proves that the interest and competitiveness of MSMEs in East Kalimantan are becoming stronger and more sensitive to the development of the digital world. “MSMEs are an important part and backbone of Indonesia’s economic recovery. Therefore, it is our obligation to provide the best service that can further maximize the potential of Indonesian MSMEs and support the government-launched national movement “Proud Indonesian Made”, ”concluded Widjayanto.
